Louie is about a 1-to-2-year-old love bug. He weighs about 13 lbs and is working on putting on a bit of weight. He loves to play with other dogs and is house trained; he is a sweet boy who loves to snuggle and give kisses. He's not a big barker and when he does, it's on the quiet side. he might have been debarked. Louie would be good with kids over 8. He hasn't been tested with cats yet, but can be upon request. He loves to play with balls and chew on bones, and all kinds of people. Louie walks well on a leash and would love to go for walks with you. He listens well when called when he is in the fenced yard, and is a smart boy who learns fast. Please make room in your heart for Louie!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Louie, a Winston-Salem Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Winston-Salem, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Winston-Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winston-Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winston-Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winston-Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
