Bosco's Story...
NOTE: This dog's fosterhome is located in: ****Babson Park, FL**** Bosco has been adopted! -- Please look at our other Rat Terriers awaiting homes! Hi, I'm Bosco! My foster mom says I was named after the chocolate, because I'm so sweet. I weigh about 25 lbs. and am approximately 5 years old. Before I came to live with my foster mom, I had been living on the streets of south Florida and had been brought to a shelter. Nobody came to get me out of that place, and I heard them say that my time was up. But, whew! A bunch of wonderful people took me out of there! I am polite and have really good manners. I know how to sit and stay and am working on learning some other stuff too. If it's not too much to ask, I'd really love it if my new family had a kid or two for me to watch over and play with. I'd also prefer to be the only dog in the house, since I don't know my own strength and sometimes play too rough with other dogs. Cats don't bother me. I pretty much ignore them. I'll sleep in my crate if you want me to, but I'd prefer to sleep with you. I am completely house trained. Do you have room in your heart and home for me? I have my own leash and will travel. Oh, and here are more pictures of me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bosco, a Winston-Salem Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Winston-Salem, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Winston-Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winston-Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winston-Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winston-Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
