ADOPTED! Minnie's Story...
This dog's fosterhome is located in: ****Babson Park, Florida**** Minnie has been adopted! -- Please look at our other Rat Terriers awaiting homes! Minnie is 2 years old and weighs about 15 pounds. She is crate trained, house trained, and gets along with everyone including other dogs and children. We’re not sure how she does with cats, but we can have her “cat-scanned” upon request. Minnie came to us from an animal shelter in south Florida when her owners were no longer able to care for her. Minnie was shy for about the first half hour in her foster home. After that, it was as if she owned the place. She plays with the other dogs and is very sweet and affectionate. She’s full of energy and loves to run around but is also content to sit in your lap or next to you on the couch. Is Minnie the perfect addition to your family? Please see more pictures of Minnie!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ADOPTED! Minnie, a Winston-Salem Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Winston-Salem, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Winston-Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winston-Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winston-Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winston-Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
