Maxine's Story...
This adorable little girl is Maxine and she is searching for her loving forever home. Cats can live to be 15-20 years old so she is looking for someone who will be in it for the long haul. She'll need tons of toys, love, and stimulation to be happy. Maxine came to us with her two siblings and they are all incredibly outgoing and sweet cats. She would love to go home with one of her siblings but can otherwise go home with an active, easy-going cat that can show her the ropes. She loved the dog in her foster home and can live with a cat-savvy dog that won't chase her. She's been around children and would enjoy living with respectful kids. If you want to meet Maxine, please come to the front to fill out an adoption application so you can spend some quality time with her today.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maxine, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
