Archimedes's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Archimedes's Story...
Archimedes is another one of our Special Needs cats that is currently up for adoption. He was hit by a car in rural WV and saved by a kind lady who contacted us. His shattered leg was amputated and he has been with us ever since.
He is a great cat that enjoys attention, but also enjoys his alone time. He is great with other animals, but needs patience while adjusting. He adjusts to new people quite well. His est age is between 3 and 4 years old.
Archimedes is neutered, UTD on shots and uses litter box.
He also has a cauliflower ear due to a bad ear infection. That can be fixed with surgery, but is only cosmetic at this point.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Archimedes, a Cumbeland Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Cumbeland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Cumbeland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cumbeland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cumbeland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cumbeland paves the way for another one to be saved.
