Eli's Story...
1 year old
Eli was adopted and returned to our shelter when he was playing too rough with the kids in the home. His previous owner did let us know that he is mostly housebroken, great with other big active dogs and loves children but is still a puppy and plays rough and hard. Eli is just an active dork who needs an active forever family to wear him out and work with him on basic manners. He would be the perfect companion for hikes, runs or any adventure you want to take him on. Eli is a blast to have around and is waiting for his second chance.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eli, a Fruit Heights Australian Shepherd/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Fruit Heights, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Fruit Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fruit Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fruit Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fruit Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
