Merlot's Story...
Merlot is a happy-go-lucky little girl! She loves to play and is very friendly and curious! She also loves to sit in a warm lap and snuggle with the other kitties in her foster home! She has beautiful tabby markings and a cute "mask" on her face. Merlot would really enjoy a home with other animals or children, as she has a lot of energy, but she would also do fine as an only pet with someone who is willing to play with her! Merlot is fostered in Huntsville, AL but is not picky about where she ends up. She is spayed, vaccinated, vetted, and microchipped! Her adoption fee is only $75. If interested in Merlot please fill out a no-obligation application at forrescue.net today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Merlot, a Huntsville Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
