My name is Clara Belle and just like the name I am a beauty!  I also answer to ClareBear and CB!  I am a 13 year old love!  All I want in life is to snuggle on my people or next to them and to eat really yummy food!  When I need something (like to snuggle, be held or food) I am very good at letting my people know with a very sweet and matter-of-fact meow…..and because I am so pretty and charming I always get what I want!  I am picky about my food but I will train you just like I trained my foster mom! My tail is beautiful and fluffy and is one of my many great features.  I live with three other cats and a dog that is cat-savvy.  My foster mom said I am one of the best fosters to integrate with the gang; yes, I am not only beautiful and smart but I am also sweet and kind!  She was very impressed because two of the resident cats can be grumpy old ladies but they could tell I was a special girl and they have been nice to me!

The best place for me is a quiet home with or without pets.  If you do have pets they should be calm – maybe in their golden years like me!  I definitely need people who like me to be next them or even better is right in their laps!  Because of my age I do have some medical issues.  I have hyperthyroidism that requires two pills per day. This is a very common disease in cats but it does need to be managed consistently so I stay healthy!  My foster mom says I take the pills like a champ!  The vet also thinks I am in the beginning stages of renal failure. Getting old is no fun!  But both are manageable and I can live for many years.  Because my kidneys do not work as well as the young whipper-snappers, I sometimes have an accident right next to the box.  My foster mom just lays pee pads around the box in case I cannot make it. I am a little underweight because of the kidney issues but my foster mom says I have been very consistent at my current weight!  She keeps telling me she wishes she had a hard time gaining weight too, hehehe!

My foster mom says the health issues are really no problem but that I need someone who will take these issues seriously and stay on top of it so I stay as healthy as a horse….or cat!  I do require some extra care but in return I give snuggles, silly meows, I am kind and sweet, I let her give me kisses all the time and I let her carry me around the house (which is her favorite!)!
