Goofie and Gizmo came to the SPCA's care after having been found abandoned. These two boys have unfortunately not had the best start to their lives. They came in as a bonded pair however being both males, they much prefer to live along side each other rather than with each other.
They are both very curious little beings, LOVE their fresh vegetables in the morning and laze about in the afternoons. Both these boys will do best with an experienced owner who can help them overcome their shyness to being handled.

Adopting these boys :
Adopting together : these boys will more than likely have to live along side each other, separated by a Pen gate but still benefit with one another's company.

Adopting separately : either of these boys can be adopted out to a family that already has a spay female guinea pig. We unfortunately will not be adopting either of these boys out to a family with another male as we feel this would not make a successful adoption.

Goofie and Gizmo are both looking for that second chance in life. If you think you are able to help either one of them or both, please come down to the Surrey branch to meet them.

About BC SPCA - Surrey Education & Adoption Centre

About Our Shelter...

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
