Pollyanna's Story...
About Pollyanna
Pollyanna was rescued from a feral colony and was very afraid. She has totally turned around with love and time and continues to make progress. She really is a doll. Still is a bit timid at first but loves to play with her foster mates and gets along well with other cats. Pollyanna probably would do best in a quieter environment.
She has been spayed and is current on vaccinations. Approx DOB Aug 2015.
You can meet and visit with many of our cats at the AARF House (311 Harvey St, Winston Salem) during our adoption fair hours. Go to www.aarfanimals.org for information about our adoption fair hours and adoption process.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pollyanna, a Winston-Salem Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Winston-Salem, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Winston-Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winston-Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winston-Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winston-Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
