Loquita's Story...
I could really use a friend right now. I had such high hopes and thought my future was set, but just like that, it vanished. I can be a tad shy at first, but I am really affectionate and attentive once you get to know me. I just want someone who will be there for me in the long run. I had a home and everything, but then my momma lost hers, and we were both left out in the cold. I would love a place to call my own again, forever this time, and I will do everything in my power to make it the happiest of homes. I am wonderfully housetrained and doing great with my crate training. I love gentle kids 10+, get along great with all the other dogs here, and had a blast meeting the cat today—I could tell he wasn’t enjoying that game of chase as much as I was so a home with only the savviest of cats would be great for me! Maybe you have been looking for a little happiness yourself, and maybe we can help each other out?
1 1/2 years old-20lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes microchip & registration, spay, reduced-cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Loquita, a Portland Shiba Inu/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shiba Inu/Corgi for sale in Portland, or seeking a Shiba Inu/Corgi dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shiba Inu/Corgi breeders who help with Shiba Inu/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
