Starsky's Story...
Starsky is a lively black pup born mid May 2008. She has a thick muzzle, curly tail, loose skin, and purple tongue. In your face? You bet. Loves to play? Of course. Starsky has been vaccinated, dewormed, and spayed. She has good social skills with people and other dogs. She loves to run outside playing, but comes to her foster mom when called. Starsky's energy level makes her appropriate for school age children rather than preschoolers. She's being entertained with doggie toys and learning leash training while waiting for her forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Starsky, a Chapel Hill Shar Pei puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei for sale in Chapel Hill, or seeking a Shar Pei puppy from a breeder in Chapel Hill.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chapel Hill already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chapel Hill breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei breeders who help with Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chapel Hill paves the way for another one to be saved.
