We rescued Diesel and his brother when they were about 12 weeks old and they have lived with my family and I (daughter and son-in law) for 3 years. We had him in doggie boot camp as a puppy, he has always lived in the house with us and is a very loving lap dog.
Adjectives to describe him: Loving, gentle, playful, very sweet, a good car dog, handsome and athletic, healthy and laid back
Best qualities: Loving personality,
Favorite activities: He likes to carry things around in his mouth. When he plays he sometimes prances with his little feet.
Cute/funny quirks? He prances, he smiles when he’s happy (his lip goes up)
Special toys/treats: He likes to carry around a nyla bone.
Loud/quiet: Quiet, he only makes a fuss it someone is at the door or to let us know that he needs to come in. He is not a barker.
What do you think the ideal home for this dog would be?
A place that has at least one animal to keep him company during the day. I am retired, so he is used to having me at home. He is used to being around a big family.
He had ACL surgery on his left back leg in the last 6-7 months and he is fully recovered with only a scar. He does not limp and is not bothered by it. Our vet recommended that he be on heartworm medication for preventive care and is about to finish up the 6 doses.
