Hello new families! My name is Greta. I was found as a stray and brought to a shelter. Although I was a favorite among the staff, I just wasn't a happy girl. See, I tried my best to wiggle my behind as adopters walked by, tried to steal a kiss from anyone that put their hand to my cage, used my beautiful eyes to pull at their heart strings, but as much as I tried, it was the younger pups that got picked to be adopted. Its all I would dream about night and day. So the shelter reached out to NWBR to help make my wish come true. They knew someone like you would be looking for a dog just like me!

I know I am not young any more but I am a good girl and have so much more love to give. I'm mature and wise and you wont have to worry about my manners. I don’t chew on things or jump on you even tho I get so very excited when you are near me. I don’t climb on furniture unless you need a couch cuddler to fall asleep with or a warm soft body to snuggle with to keep you warm and safe at night. I am crate trained and love my peanut butter Kong when I go in, although I could be left out since I am such a good girl. I am potty trained and have not had 1 accident while at my foster family's home.

I may be 10 but I can run zoomies like no other and I can jump up on the bed or in the van which is pretty high. Steps are no big deal for me and I can beat you to the top every time. I walk great on a leash and am really excited to enjoy our adventure. I know how to lay down and sit. But best of all, if you got a raise at work, ran an extra mile at the gym, your Seahawks made a touch down, I can give you a high five. Yep, Im that good.

I love kids but prefer older respectful ones. I'm not a fan of cats but do well with the pigs, goats and the pony. I get along with all the big dogs here. I'm best with big dogs because I am a larger boxer weighing in at 85 lbs. I would feel so bad if I hurt a little one. I would also be just fine without a dog friend as long as I have you.

I have such a big heart and love to please you in any way I can. I will whine a little to let you know when its chow time if you got busy and forgot to feed me at the usual time. I love my food so to keep me at a good weight my foster mom limits the treats I get. She is just helping me keep my lady figure.

So if you are looking for a great companion to love you no matter what, watch movies with, be there to listen if you had a bad day, go for a hike with, throw some balls with, and never let you down, you found me! Come make my day, my life, and give me that home that I deserve. I will give you all I have in return. Fill out an adoption app requesting me as your new BFF.

About Northwest Boxer Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Northwest Boxer Rescue (NWBR) believes that every boxer deserves a chance to live a happy life in a loving home. Abandoned or homeless Boxers will always find shelter, medical care, and ultimately a new home through the efforts of NWBR. By working with committed volunteers and local veterinarians we are able to rescue boxers every year, provide them with loving temporary care, and find them perfect loving forever homes. Working in conjunction with city and county groups, NWBR strives to educate the public and help end animal overpopulation and needless suffering. The commitment to share the love of Boxers is never ending.

We never discriminate on the basis of health or age. Our animals are evaluated, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and receive any necessary medical treatment before they are placed in carefully screened homes.
