Brownie's Info...

I am already neutered, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Brownie's Story...
Brownie came to us from a hoarding situation. He is very shy and scared of people. He needs someone who will take the time to slowly show him that life is good with a human and that he is safe. He does wonderful with other dogs, infact we would love to see him go to a home with another dog so he can see human dog interaction. We are really looking to place him only one time, since this poor guy will not handle the stress of being bounced around. If you are an experienced dog owner and have the love and patients this guy needs please call Sharen at 517-548-5720

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brownie, a Howell Sussex Spaniel/Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sussex Spaniel/Basset Hound for sale in Howell, or seeking a Sussex Spaniel/Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Howell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Howell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Howell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sussex Spaniel/Basset Hound breeders who help with Sussex Spaniel/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Howell paves the way for another one to be saved.
