Lucy's Story...
Lucy is in Goofy Foot's PADDLE Program where the pups live inside of a jail with the trustees who care for them. We've had absolutely fantastic results with the dogs who graduate this program. The families report back to us that the dogs are amazingly well behaved and socialized and learn very quickly. I have no doubt that it's a direct result of them being with people all the time. This girl came to us as a surrender - she was bottle fed for a short time before she was old enough to be started on regular puppy food. Lucy is about 8 weeks old now and ready for a home of her own! If you want to adopt Lucy please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out the online application. Lucy is being fostered in West TN and will be transported once her adoption is finalized.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Southington Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Southington, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
