Brooks's Story...
Brooks is an adorable guy from a litter of 7 puppies. We rescued his mother (Lady who is also posted here) out of a kill shelter and all the puppies were born a week later. He is beautiful, sweet and playful. Brooks has gorgeous markings and is super cute. He enjoys toys and playing keep away with his siblings. Brooks was born were born on Dec 1st and he currently weighs 33 pounds. He is fully vetted and ready for his new home! This boy walks well on a leash, is crate trained and is very good about outside potty. Super smart, this little guy is eager to learn. If you think you can give Brooks the perfect home, please download an adoption application from our website www.caresga.org or contact us at info.caresga@gmail.com. Please be sure you have a great vet reference (meaning you take your current/past dogs to the vet and maintain monthly heartworm prevention, vaccinations, etc). We DO adopt up north and all over the US so please contact us with questions at info.caresga@gmail.com. Continue reading to see everything that is included with each adoption:
Adoption fees for puppies are $300, adults dogs are $250 and senior dogs are $150. This includes each animal being current on age appropriate vaccinations including DHPPL, bordetella and rabies, de-wormed for any internal parasites (round worms, hook worms, tape worms and whipworms), tested heart-worm negative (if positive, they are treated), tested negative for tick borne diseases, spayed/neutered, implanted with a mini micro-chip and have been examined by a veterinarian to certify that they are healthy. All animals are also on a monthly regime of flea and heartworm medication. Lifetime registration for the micro-chip as well as 30 days of free pet insurance is also included in each adoption fee. In addition, each adopter will go home with a fitted collar, tags, a bag of dog food the pet has been on, Forti-Flora, and an adoption kit filled with valuable information and coupons as well as other various treats or toys as promotions become available. All puppy adoptions include a puppy training book, the Puppy Primer by Patricia McConnell, to help ensure a smooth transition for your new family member.
We ask that you consider an additional donation on top of this pet's adoption fee. This money will go directly into our Adoption Fund to be used exclusively for rescuing and caring for other pets in need. Many pets we take in have very high vet bills to get them healthy and adoptable for the public - much higher than their adoption fees. We receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from our community and caring adopters to continue our rescue efforts!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brooks, a Cedartown Labrador Retriever/American Bulldog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/American Bulldog for sale in Cedartown, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/American Bulldog puppy from a breeder in Cedartown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cedartown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cedartown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/American Bulldog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cedartown paves the way for another one to be saved.
