Rodney's Story...
This handsome boy is Rodney. He is about 1-2 year old and ready for his own home. Rodney is social, playful, and active and enjoys the companionship of other cats. (It would be important that he is adopted with another like-minded, playful companion.) Rodney doesn't mind being picked up to be held and would make a great lap cat and sleeping buddy. He will probably be OK with older children who would understand the importance of letting Rodney come to them. He will be shy initially, but will quickly become comfortable with his new owners. He is a handsome, beautiful boy who will be a wonderful companion!

Update: Adoptable Rodney LOVES Oralee! He cries for her to come play with him! When they are together, they run, play, wrestle, cuddle, and groom each other. They love sitting in the window together watching the birds and squirrels. They would LOVE to be adopted together!

Adoption fee is a minimum $75 per cat donation to Feral Fixers . All cats are up to date on shots, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and felv/fiv negative.

Discounted adoption fee if two kittens or cats are adopted together, $130 for a pair.

Brief screening questionaire and contract apply!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rodney, a Lombard Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Lombard, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Lombard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lombard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lombard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lombard paves the way for another one to be saved.
