Opal is a very sweet, very timid girl. She was found as a stray so all we know for certain is that she’s had at least one litter of puppies. Opal has been in foster care for a while and is doing well. She likes going to the dog park and playing chase so another active dog in the home would be ideal. She’s very affectionate and takes treats like she can’t believe her good fortune. She does have some allergies we are still trying to identify and will need a good quality food. She is frightened by sudden movements and loud noises so she wouldn’t do well with children, although her reaction is simply to run and hide. She is also afraid of men but may warm up in time. She will bark at cats but has never tried to harm one and she is housebroken. We’ve been working on socialization and new experiences but Opal may never be a confident, outgoing dog. However, she will reward her new protector with love, kisses, and a snuggle buddy at bedtime. We think she is about 6 years old and she weighs 55#.
