Facts about Zoe

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black (All)
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 9315594
  • Hair: Short

Sweet little Zoe hasn’t had the easiest of lives.  She came to us with a wound on her head, probably from being shot by a bb gun.  The wound healed while in foster care, although you can see in the photos she has some permanent scarring around her eye from it.  Zoe is a very easy and low-maintenance cat, happy to hang out on her own, watching the action from the edge of the room.  Sometimes she enjoys chasing a toy on a string, but she doesn’t require much playtime, as she’s very independent.

While in foster care, Zoe has lived with several different cats.  This feline company has been really good for her.  If you have a kid-free home with room for one more cat, you could be Zoe’s ticket to the happy ending for which she’s been so patiently waiting.

Zoe is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

Cat Town is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, formed by long term volunteers from Oakland Animal Services (OAS) and other Bay Area shelters. We have partnered with OAS to take the cats who are least likely to do well in a shelter setting. About Cat Town

About Our Rescue Group...

Cat Town is a 501(c)(3) cat rescue organization based in Oakland, CA. Formed by volunteers of Oakland Animal Services (OAS) (Oakland's municipal shelter), our mission is to find homes for the cats least likely to be adopted from OAS because they can't handle the stress of the shelter environment. By getting these cats into foster homes, they can relax and show their true personalities to potential adopters. We focus on older semi-feral kittens, stressed, shy or undersocialized cats, and cats who are older and/or have special needs. We are a relatively new organization and are all-volunteer run. We operate on a shoestring budget so can always use financial donations, as well as food, litter and other supplies. We are always looking for great foster homes and volunteers for everything that we do. Helping these vulnerable cats is pure joy! Please contact us at info@cattownoakland.org to get involved.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of our cats are in foster homes, mostly in Oakland, CA, but some are in surrounding cities. Our fosters are generally very flexible about scheduling cat introductions.

Our Adoption Process...

All of our cats are in foster homes, mostly in Oakland, CA, or other nearby cities. We will talk to you by phone to make sure the cat sounds like a good fit for your home before setting up an introduction in the foster home. We have a pretty straightforward adoption application, which you will be asked to complete only after you have met a cat who you want to adopt. Our adoption fees for kittens and cats up to age 7 are $50 for a single cat or $75 for pair; cats age 8 an older are $35 for a single cat or $50 for a pair. All cats are spayed/neutered, current on their vaccinations and microchipped. Cats age six months or older are tested for FIV/FeLV.
