My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB January 15, 2007
Rhonda is very timid but curious with a lot of sweetness to her. She likes a quiet space with all her things very close to her (food, blankets, litter etc.) She is very quiet, barely speaks and doesn't move around. She enjoys being pet and scratched under her chin and head and lower back, but not being picked up. When she becomes comfortable with you, she makes intense eye contact, her way of engaging. She likes to snuggle closely to a warm body, so a house with cuddly cats is a must! She is a very sweet and gentle cat.

Funny quirks: Rhonda needs to be covered with a blanket to have a good sleep! She hides her face when she is shy. She appears apprehensive at times but when you walk away, she lifts her head up and makes eye contact, as if to ask, "Where are you going?" She will not take a treat from your hand; rather. she points her nose to the floor indicating that she wants you to put it on the floor so she doesn't hurt you.

History: She was a house cat that lost her home some how, whether she was kicked out or ran away from an uncomfortable situation it is uncertain. She had lived with a cat colony for 4-5 years but is very much a house cat.

Special Note From My Foster Family: Even though Rhonda started out as a house cat, she was with a colony for a long while. It will take her time to fully transition, so she needs an experienced adopter. Rhonda's trust is earned so patience is a must. Also, being in a single cat foster home, she yearns for a feline connection she has grown accustomed to, so she needs to be with cats that will welcome her into their family. Rhonda needs peace and quiet, so no kids is a must!

Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice appreciated, vs. our standard adoption fee of $175.
