Facts about Vinnie

  • Breed: Corgi/Cattle Dog Mix
  • Color: Tricolor (Tan/Brown & Black & White)
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
This sweet boy was pulled from death row at animal control. He and his sister didn't have much time left. Vinnie has a very kind personality, shy at first but then very affectionate. He was a bit frightened of being touched or held by staff here when he first arrived, but he has warmed up and now loves to be hugged and give kisses. We assume he did not receive much affection or care, if at all, but now he is just waiting on his forever home to love. Vinnie does like other dogs, loves toys, seems to be crate trained and house trained. Vinnie is a great boy, with so much potential in the right home, we hope that you will give him a chance.

About Heart of Texas SPCA

About Our Shelter...

Our History:
Our shelter was established in May of 2000 as a No-kill, 501 (c) (3) non-profit shelter. At that time animals were fostered and adopted out by word of mouth. In November 2001 adoptions were done out of a donated space at a local veterinary clinic, staffed completely by volunteers. We outgrew that space quickly and moved into our own location in 2002. We are now located on IH-10 West in Fair Oaks Ranch, near Boerne, housing only dogs. We have made great improvements threw the years and hope to increase the number of animals rescued, increase adoptions, fundraising events, and reach more of the community. We provide a temporary shelter, rehabilitation and care to homeless and unwanted dogs until responsible, loving homes can be found. As a no-kill shelter, we want to help reduce the number of animals euthanized each year by educating the public on the importance of proper pet care, animal behavior and overpopulation prevention.
