Shelby's Story...
Shelby is a year and half year old fawn dobe with natural ears.  Her previous owners adopted her from a shelter.  They loved her but unfortunately the woman had a very complicated pregnancy and they couldn't devote the time needed to her. They did have a child who she did fine with and has met other children since coming to us without issue. She has also met many other dogs and does well with them as well. She is sometimes a little too interested in the cats in her foster home so would probably be best without cats. With her young age, Shelby does require a fenced in yard, but she also enjoys going to the dog park with her foster mom.

Poor Shelby keeps getting overlooked for someone or something else, all things out of her control and not a reflection of what a fantastic dog she is.  Her foster mom adores her and takes her out in the community often where she does great with lots the people she meets.  We think she's just waiting for the perfect family that is meant to be hers! Are you that family?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shelby, a New Richmond Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in New Richmond, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in New Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
