Abby is as gentle as a lamb. Very timid and shy but is slowly coming out of her shell. Sleeps on her foster mom's curled up. Loves to be held and loved on.
Came to LOA with her litter of puppies, she is now looking for her forever home. Is housed with other canines and felines. Has a curiosity for the felines but has shown no aggression when around (and the cat would let us know too as she has been around dogs all her life).
As with any new companion, it is wise to spend good quality time with them and let them explore their new surrounding while you set the boundaries. It is also good to make sure they have a 'special' area they can escape to when company comes. This will make both you and your companion have a much better relationship.
Love of Animals will screen potential adoption parents to ensure the companion WILL NOT be a fighting dog.
