Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bethel and his buddy Valdez were rescued from a Southern California shelter. They were not properly socialized in their prior lives so will need an experienced and patient home. They have come a long way since rescue but still have a long path ahead of them. It takes them a while to learn to trust so we are looking for homes that might have dealt with neglected dogs before and are prepared for the added challenges that this breed might posses. One of these challenges for Valdez is his ability to jump a 6ft fence. These boys are very sweet and mild mannered, they deserve real homes for the holidays. Here are some notes from their current caretaker: Wooly Boys, Valdez & Bethel, are northern breed mixes with fluffy coats perfect for snuggling in the chilly weather.
Both came into rescue lacking social skills & confidence, but good progress has been made with a lot of time being walked on leash.
Valdez has a gentlemanly handshake greeting. Bethel likes to give kisses.
Each needs a calm & patient home. Bethel might do best with another large dog - these two are about 65lbs. Valdez is 7 yrs & Bethel, 3 yrs.
