; ; Typical terrier--likely not good with cats or other small animals.
; ; Foster notes 1/5/16: Cashew was a very shy dog when we first got him, as well as underweight. With time and lots of food and treats ,we really got to see him blossom into his true self. One our favorite thing that he does is when he jumps onto a chair and curls up like a cat to take a nap. He is still a puppy and loves to chew, so chew toys should be available. He might need some more training on what to chew and not to chew. He has also shown leash reactivity/stranger danger (towards people and dogs which have lead to one or two snaps, no dog injured ), but with more extensive and continuous training, as well as socialization, we think he can overcome this. He loves playing with our dogs (8 yrs, 6 yrs, 1 yr old dogs) and we think he would get along great with another dog, as long as properly introduced. He can play really well with other dogs, as long as he knows them. He loves to cuddle and loves to sleep in bed with our 15 year old daughter. He is a very relaxed dog in the home and has a great appetite. Loves playing tug of war and chasing the toy (working on fetch). We think he would do okay with kids 7 or older, just because he can get a little mouthy when playing. He is now fully house trained. He can sleep in a crate or in a bed, whichever works for you. He truly has the potential to be an amazing little dog, with the further training.'
