Teddy-ADOPTED's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Teddy, because he looks like a cute cuddly little teddy bear, was found roaming the streets of Detroit. Though his recent circumstances weren't the best, Teddy holds no grudges. Shy and timid at first, Teddy quickly warms up to the people around him and will soon find himself next to you on the couch waiting for belly rubs! He likes to play and is enjoying the other dogs and cat in his foster home.

Teddy is currently being crate trained and has done very well so far, barely making any noise except first thing in the morning when it's time to go outside. Like most new dogs, he did mark his territory a handful of times but has since been accident free.

Possibly due to his time on the streets, Teddy does have some mild resource guarding issues that will need to be addressed. He doesn't like to share or have his things taken away and will growl to let you know it, but has not attempted to nip. Because of this however, we believe a home with small children would not be the best fit for Teddy.

Overall Teddy is a good boy and would make someone a wonderful k9 companion. Thank you for your consideration!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teddy-ADOPTED, a Livonia Norwich Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Norwich Terrier for sale in Livonia, or seeking a Norwich Terrier dog from a breeder in Livonia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Livonia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Livonia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Norwich Terrier breeders who help with Norwich Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Livonia paves the way for another one to be saved.
