My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bill is deaf
Bill is a 4 year old white male with natural ears. Bill was recently adopted, but unfortunately the other male deaf Dane in the home picked on Bill. Though Bill never initiated any altercations, he reacted when he was nipped. The other Dane was smaller and has Wobblers, so with Bill's size he got hurt. So the hard decision was made that Bill would need to come back to rescue. Bill is a lover. He LOVES his people and wants nothing more to be with his people (or on them, LOL). He does get excited when visitors arrive and he has a very deep bark but it is just his way of saying hello. He also can be a little "mouthy" in a playful way. (He may grab your arm or paw at you when he is excited to see you). Bill walks pretty well on a leash - but he is a strong boy. Bill did have a case of "happy tail" and had to have a bit of his tail removed as it was not healing. Bill would do well with older children. He is very large and his size can be intimidating. He does well with other laid back dogs.

Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League can only adopt within its incorporated area (eastern NY, eastern PA, NJ, DE, WV, MD, and VA). For more information on our adoption policies please visit our website: www.magdrl.org

Bill is deaf so he requires traditional fencing. To adopt a Great Dane under 2 you must have traditional fencing (no electronic fences permitted). For Danes over 2, please see our website for fencing policies.
