Duke's Story...
"Hello! We are Duke and Kassie, two of the sweetest and most gentle creatures you'll ever meet. We were brought to the El Cajon Animal Shelter because our owners got divorced, and neither of them could keep us. Each of us is eight years old, and we've been together our whole lives. It's for that reason that we need to be adopted together. We're a bonded pair, and we'd suffer if we couldn't stay together. Kassie is a more petite Boxer, and I (Duke) am on the slightly bigger side. We love to go for walks together, and Kassie loves to play fetch. I'm happy to just sniff around the yard while she plays ball. Both of us are affectionate and loving, and we'd make wonderful family pets. We get along well with other dogs, too. Our manners are impeccable, and we've already been house trained. Won't you please come visit us? There's a nice play yard here at the shelter where we can spend some time together. With our cute faces and good-natured attitudes, you'll find that we're irresistible. Also, since we're Super Seniors, OUR ADOPTION FEE IS ONLY $30 PER DOG. Love, Duke and Kassie"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a El Cajon Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
