We are having a kitten adoption special - adopt 2 available kittens (1 year & under) for $125. A savings of $25!
Bill was actually adopted from us years ago as a kitten after a lady found him in an alley and rescued him in 2010 (check out his kitten pic from back then!). He was recently returned because of litter box issues. We don't believe he was properly diagnosed because it took a simple test from our vet to tell us that he is diabetic. A word to the wise, if your cat develops litter box issues - ABSOLUTELY TAKE THEM TO THE VET. They are not just doing it to be jerks. Anyway, Bill will need an understanding adopter. He needs insulin shots twice a day, and we're trying him on a low carb diet. Luckily for Bill, that means lots of canned food! Bill isn't too fond of other cats, and would do well in a home by himself. But he does seem to do better with just female cats. He's an incredibly loving and sweet big lug.
All of our cats have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, and tested for FIV/FeLV. Our adoption fee structure is as follows:
While we try to keep our animal listings up-to-date online, sometimes the age range may be labelled incorrectly. Please don't hesitate to contact us for the most up-to-date information on a particular cat. Our cats are shown by appointment - we are a foster based rescue and so we don't have a location with set hours.
If you are interested in adopting or would like to meet our cats, please fill out our adoption application online at www.safehousepets.org/adopt and a volunteer will contact you promptly.
Your message has been sent to Safe House Animal Rescue League.
You'll receive a copy, too, at to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures, on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
