Joey's Story...
Hi, I'm Joey. I'm a 4 year old gray tabby. I'm a little lonely at the moment, and am looking for my new home. I've lived with other cats in the past, so I might like another new feline buddy. I've recently lived with a chihuahua and I didn't like him so much. In the past, I liked to sit with mom and sleep with her. I'm submissive in personality, and sweet. I liked to sit up high in my cat tree, but that left when my mom did. I also like to sit in windows. Do you have one of those that I could grace? I love cheddar cheese too. If you have a bag of shredded cheddar cheese, a window, and a nice place for me to sit with you, I'll be your best buddy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joey, a Colorado Springs Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colorado Springs, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Colorado Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colorado Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colorado Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colorado Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
