My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there my name is Dolly and I am on the hunt for a new family. I am about 3 or 4 years old and I weigh about 40 ponds. I am full grown! I was found in a high kill shelter. I knew where I was and that I had to get out fast. I turned on the cuteness each time someone walked past but it did not work. They say I have what is called black dog syndrome. That means because I am black no one wants me. Finally a rescue spotted me and I turned it on thick. It worked because here I sit waiting for you. I really am a well rounded dog. I like other dogs, cats and children. I am house broken, crate trained and just the most perfect energy level. You want to play? Sure! You want to cuddle? You bet! I am happiest just being with you doing whatever you want. I love treats, toys, playing outside, belly rubs are my favorite and did I mention I like treats? I am a people pleaser with no people.
