Fiji's Story...
This fabulous feline with the tortoiseshell coat is Fiji. She's a 4-year-old Domestic Shorthair mix and she's a sprightly and affectionate kitty who's interested in lounging with a new companion. She enjoys her views from atop of her cat condo, but she is ready to make the move into her new forever home! Fiji is a Guardian Angel, which mean a portion of her adoption fee has been paid. Ask our staff for details! So when she's not showing you her bespeckled backside, she'll be happy to show you her bouncy self--with a little bit of encouragement. Visit the San Antonio Humane Society soon to meet this gorgeous girl!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fiji, a San Antonio Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
