My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zeus is looking for a special home. This handsome boy is a 1 year old red-nose Pitbull, and weighs about 70lbs. Zeus is selective with which dogs he likes.
Zeus's winning feature is his affectionate nature. He is the ultimate cuddle bug and loyal friend.

Zeus does have some behavioural and health issues that will limit his availability to most homes. This loyal boy has extreme separation anxiety. He wants to be with his people day and night, so much so that he will find a way to escape his kennel, chew out of the house, or climb or eat through a fence to be with them. Zeus is a powerful dog and would require a strong handler with bully breed experience. Because of Zeus's ‘natural athletic’ ability, and his high energy, he would excel in a dog sport like agility.
Zeus also lacks house manners. He will jump on the table or counter, and sometimes the top of the fridge, to get what he wants, or to watch you out the window. He can also easily knock you over, or small children. Therefore Zeus will require obedience classes to allow him to properly function in a home environment, otherwise he will be a tough boy to handle. He is mostly potty trained, but is still learning as puppies do.

Being left home alone causes Zeus lots of anxiety. Besides him wanting to chew everything he sees, he easily developes a skin disorder, a non contagious form of mange. This is why Zeus needs to find a forever home that has someone either working from home, or around the majority of the day. Zeus will need food of higher quality, because of his skin issues.
Zeus would need a fully fenced yard, and a strong wooden fence, since he can climb wire fences, and chews through some wood fences.
It is very important for Zeus to be with an active family. The more his mind and body are active, the happier and healthier, and easy to manage, this pup will be.
His leash manners are lacking, and he is a very strong boy, but with training he will learn how to walk politely.
This sweet guy has bounced through a few homes in his short life, so it's important his future home understands the expectations this awesome, but high needs dog has.

If you can fulfill Zeus's life, he will fulfill yours. He is like a hot water bottle that doesn't leave your lap. He follows you around like a lost puppy, and is an excellent companion, for an active family with older children, or single person looking for an active dog to play agility with and go for runs. Zeus is also a goof of a character, but can be laid back and lounge in front of a fire place for hours.
He also has a heart of gold, and has amber eyes that easily melt any heart.
Zeus needs a very experienced owner.
