Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sheba is a medium sized lab cross approximately 1-1.5 years old and the biggest sweetheart there is! She is settling into her foster home extremely well after being brought in as a stray. She is very intelligent and is working on basic commands (she even learned to “sit” the first night with her foster mom!).
Sheba is a very high-energy dog and loves to be outdoors, so a large fenced in yard is recommended. A home with other dogs, or people with time to take her to the dog park frequently would be ideal as she loves to run around and play with other dogs! She is great with dogs of all sizes and seems very curious about cats - she has chased the cat in her foster home once but with no intentions of harming it once she got close. She has not been around children in a house setting, but has shown no interest in them while on walks or at the dog park.
Sheba has not quite got used to the idea that she no longer has to wonder when her next meal will be, and gobbles her food as fast as she can. However, she is happy to share her newfound riches, and is comfortable with others (humans and dogs) being near her when she eats. She also loves to play "tug-of-war" with other dogs and drops toys without any sign of resource guarding.
Sheba is crate trained for nighttime and while her foster mom is away during the day, and does not complain about it too much! She only barks when she is very excited during playtime and walks well on a leash. Sheba is working on some manners related to her enthusiasm, but she is extremely affectionate and loves to cuddle after a long day of play. This sweetie has just as much love as energy!
