Independent, Diva, Playful
Beyonce is an independent cat who loves to play. She will eagerly bound around my room, leaping over backpacks and stacks of books before literally "sticking the landing" with all claws out in the carpet. She loves to climb, and would adore a climbing frame or a carpeted cat house. She loves to attack feathers on a stick, or chase wads of paper around the room. Beyonce is slowly coming out of her shell. She likes to stick to herself, but when she feels like it, she will cuddle with you. She's not a very high needs cat, but she does enjoy having someone to cuddle with (at her own pace, of course!), and loves it when someone plays with her.
Something you should know about Beyonce is that she is FIV+. This sounds worse than it is! FIV is a virus that lives in a cat and can cause a weakened immune system. It is NOT contagious to humans, dogs, or any species other than cats. And it is only contagious to other cats through deep, penetrating bite wounds. FIV+ cats live close-to-normal life spans, and you would never know she had FIV just by looking at her! The only big difference between owning an FIV positive kitty versus an FIV negative cat is that she can get sicker faster than other cats. So Beyonce just needs to go to the vet annually on time, keep her shots up to date, and take her in as soon as she gets sick with anything. That's about it! Beyonce's ideal home would let her be an only furry child (she's not a fan of sharing her space with other pets) and have lots of things for her to climb, lots of new things for her to explore, and owners that would go at her pace. She takes a little while to warm up, but once she does, she's charming! Are you ready to put a new collar on this Single Lady?!
