Munchkin is an 8 month old/ 8 pound pure bred mini Dachshund. She was not in the best shape when we got her, as the family did not have the means to take care of her. She was a gift to a 3 yr old and this young couple just couldn't afford her. in our care over the last couple of months, she is in perfect health and has adjusted beautifully. Munchkin is a sweet little girl that had obviously not been socialized in her short life. When she is adopted she will have to warm up to her new family like she did to her fosters. She has never bitten anyone but WILL GROWL when meeting new people. That doesn't last very long, but if this frightens you please do not apply for her. She loves everybody in the foster house and is great with the little girls. She is such a snuggle bug and is also crate trained. She loves all of the other dogs and gets along great with everyone of the 14 others in foster. She loves her rope toys and chew bones. She is spayed, UTD on shots and is on heart worm prevention. She is pretty much house broken but still has accidents on occasion inside. We cannot guarantee she will get over her nervous barking and growling when meeting new people and adopters should have experience dealing with this.
