Rudy - in NY's Story...
Rudy is 3 1/2 yrs old . He came in off a small farm and was used to guard sheep and goats. Rudy had an abscess on his neck that is clearing up nicely. We see that he has an overbite issue that does NOT make him a good candidate for a Livestock Guardian. He would be limited in defending himself because of this issue. He is loving and gentle so the conversion to a family pet will be easy.

He will be neutered soon and ready for a Forever home.

The application process is to go to our website and fill out an adoption application form. http://www.nepyresq.org/page/getting-involved-5.html

Then a volunteer in your area will contact you to come meet you. After the home visit the adoption coordinator will put you in contact with the foster family of the dog(s) you are interested in. We do not have a kennel in Lee, Mass. When you meet the dog if there is a connection then you will fill out an adoption contract and take you new family member home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rudy - in NY, a Lee Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Lee, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Lee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lee paves the way for another one to be saved.
