Meet Rossi and Geo, they are the cutest and sweetest best friends; they are a bonded pair who will only be placed together. They have been together their entire lives; they are 11 years old. They are typical, sweet, loving, needy, clingy Italian Greyhounds whose favorite things are sun bathing, going for walks, being with their favorite person and eating. They are neutered, have had recent dentals and are happy healthy little men. They are 100% potty trained to take themselves outside to potty so fenced, secure outdoor space is a must for potty and sunbathing. They are currently on a feeding regimen of three small meals a day which helps them maintain their ideal 10 pound weights and to provide them with balanced healthy digestive systems. Geo has two sets of spinal discs that cause him some pain; he is on a daily, low dose of pain medication that completely mitigates his discomfort. He is active, playful and pain free. He will require this medication permanently along with two supplements; the cost for his on-going medications is $50.00 a month. While the boys are happy and active they do require a home environment that is calm, balanced and nurturing. We will not place them in a home with children or in an environment that is high tension or stress. They are very social and enjoy daily walks, meeting new people and other dogs but in their home they prefer to be the center of attention. If you are retired or work from home, are an experienced companion of Italian Greyhounds and are looking for two best friends to keep you busy and to be your constant companions then these boys could be for you.

These dogs are being fostered in San Diego. About Italian Greyhound Rescue Southern California

About Our Rescue Group...

Rescue is a re-homing service provided for full-breed Italian Greyhounds that have been abandoned at an animal shelters or surrendered to Rescue the owner.

Approved IGCA Rescue Foster Caregivers provide care for these orphans in their homes, where their health and temperament are evaluated so that they can be placed in a home that can best meet the needs of the dog. Before being placed all dogs are taken for a veterinary check-up where vaccinations are updated, the animal is neutered or spayed, any serious medical conditions are treated, and if necessary, their teeth are cleaned. Each Italian Greyhound can potentially cost Rescue hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars to rehabilitate. All members of Italian Greyhound Rescue are strictly volunteers; they donate their time and expertise without any compensation for their services.
