Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Beckett is a 3yr old male Great Pyrenees. He's good with both male & female dogs, big & small; and cat safe as well. He is crate trained, house trained, great on leash, and well mannered indoors.
Beckett would prefer a home with another dog, but would do okay as a single dog if with a family that he didn't spend a lot time routinely left alone as he really likes having companionship. He is fine behind 4ft fence, and likes spending time outdoors playing on good weather days.
Beckett is friendly and will seek attention, likes being with/near his family; but he's not a cuddly dog and enjoys only limited physical affection. We don't know what happened in his past that makes him uncomfortable being petted in certain areas or being hugged/cuddled, but we're following a desensitizing training plan to help him become more accepting and enjoy physical affection all over. Although he is friendly towards kiddos, we are limiting him to a home with older kids or no kids because of his sensitivity with physical affection.
Beckett is neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, neg. for heart worms, microchipped, and current on monthly prevention meds. His coat was heavily matted so quite a bit had to be cut off, but when his coat grows back in he'll be a big furball. To apply to adopt Beckett the application can be submitted from our local or national websites: www.nationalpyr.org or www.wix.com/gprofok/gpr For Beckett we are restricting him from multiday long commercial transport as he has some motion sickness when riding in the car so sending him cross-country would be hard on him.
