Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Duke! He's a big friendly 3 year old black lab mix that was transferred from another facility. Not much is known about Duke but he's not very fond of being in a small kennel. He's hoping someone adopts him ASAP and he finds himself cozying up on a couch with his master. Duke is a gentle guy that has shown no aggression towards people. Once back from his training he'll be the perfect pooch!
On March 07, 2016, Duke was selected to be one of Friendship's Prison Dogs. He is currently undergoing training at the Grafton Correctional Institution. Prison Dogs are trained in obedience, basic commands, manners and proper leash walking. He will spend approximately 12 weeks there. Prison Dogs cannot be visited during their training. All dogs return on an individual basis.
If you are interested in adopting this prison dog, adoption applications are now being accepted. You can find an app at friendshipapl.org on the Dogs and Puppies page. Hand deliver the adoption application to Friendship or call if you live a distance away to see if you can fax one in. Please DO NOT email the app.
If you have any questions, please contact the shelter at 440-322-4321. Or email at adoptions@friendshipapl.org.
All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
