"Diesel" is a gorgeous 1-1/2 year old male Pit Bull Terrier mix who was surrendered by his owner on September 12, 2015. This majestic-looking young man has a tan short smooth coat, a white bib on his chest, a long tail, and a handsome face with a dusting of white on his muzzle and short floppy ears. "Diesel" is a happy boy who usually has a mischievous grin on his face. He is full of youthful puppy-like energy and loves his toys (or anything that might resemble a toy) :) "Diesel" tends to choose his people friends carefully. He dearly loves several of our female kennel techs (especially Brittany), but he seems to take a little longer to warm up to our male kennel techs. "Diesel" is also choosy about which dogs he accepts into his inner circle of friends, and we always suggest a 'meet-and-greet' if you have other dogs in your household. "Diesel" doesn't appear to be fond of cats and will attempt to chase them. He is very strong and tends to play rough, so we'd suggest that he would probably not be good with younger children. "Diesel" weighs approximately 75 lbs. He was neutered on October 30, 2015 and was also given rabies vaccine. We know that there is a perfect home for "Diesel". We believe that he would be best suited with an experienced handler and someone who would have the ability to work with "Diesel" on trust issues and obedience training. An active lifestyle would also be a plus. Our HSOV Kennel Techs and Humane Officers would love to hear from you and personally introduce you to "Diesel" if you think you could give him the home he truly deserves. "Diesel" went home with one of our fantastic foster dogs on May 30, 2016 (whom he dearly loves)!
