Ollie's Story...
Hi guys and gals, I'm Ollie... A 10 month old Yellow Lab mix. I'm a
very sweet young man... Well a child really. I was found as a stray...
and life's been hard for me thus far... Being all alone and walking the
streets with nothing to eat and no one to love can be tough at times.
But I'm alright... In fact, I'm better than alright! I'm ready to
start a new life. I may need a little time to adjust to a new home...
I'm a little shy at first, that's all... But I'm very friendly once I
see that you are friendly too! I'm quiet, housebroken, and very, very
sweet. And like I said, I'm a 10 month old Yellow Lab mix... I'm
young, handsome and would like very, very much to be some ones perfect
family dog. Since I'm still adjusting to my new life, living wit h
children over 7 would be best for now... I just need to be around
folks who understand I need to see a few things before I'm pushed head
first into a chaotic, busy world! But that's no big deal right? There
has to be someone willing to give a kind young boy like myself a
second chance.... Right? Anyone? Hello? 10 months old-55lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; neuter, microchip, 5 week Training Class, free veterinary exam (Portland/Milwaukie area) ,1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ollie, a Portland Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
