Scooter was pampered and loved by his human dad. But his world turned upside down when his daddy had to go into the hospital with a terminal illness and could no longer care for him. Apparently, there were no family members able or willing to adopt him. So sad! Scooter is looking for a loving family to give him a secure, forever, happy home again.
Scooter likes to go outside and play with dog friends, and he's good with cats too. Scooter prefers adults, young children make him nervous and he will growl and snap at them. He is shy with new people at first meeting and will cling to his foster mom, as if he is afraid he is going to be taken away. That must be from his memory of being separated from his owner. He follows his foster mom everywhere and loves to sit with her to be petted and cuddled. Scooter just needs a patient dog lover to give him a chance.
Estimated birthdate: February 2013
