Luna's Story...
Luna is a 4 - 5 year old darling with a cloud-soft creamy colored coat. She had been living on a deck where someone had made a bed for her under the grill. Taken in by CARE, she now enjoys her foster mom's attention while she waits for her forever family. She is a friendly girl but prefers to be outdoors. She is looking for a home where she can be safe outside, and where she can be the only cat. Orange females are very special and rare, so Luna is a unique treasure not to be missed. Her soulful eyes plead with you to bring her home.

Please call CARE @ (804) 288-9797 or apply online and ask her foster mom Sandy all about her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luna, a Richmond Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
