Max's Story...
Hello there! My name is Max. I have a bit of a sad story. My mommy had to give me up because I nipped at someone and bit another. It wasn't a bad bite but enough for mommy to say she was going to have to put me down. One of her friends heard about this and contacted this rescue asking for help. They thankfully saved my life. They accepted me into their program. I am a great boy once I get to know someone. I am leery of new people, especially men, but once I get to know and trust them, I'm fine. I am approximately 3.5 years old. I am a German shepherd/husky mix. I do well with most dogs but small dogs and kitties and me do not mix. Blame that on the husky side of me! I am playful and love to sit and cuddle. I know how to sit, lay down, shake, as you can see I am very very smart. When you say "go home", I know exactly what to do. That means go into my kennel. I always like to take one of my toys from my kennel with me when I go outside. I should probably be placed in a home with kids 15 years or older only. I ride wonderfully in the car and get very excited for car rides. I love to go for walks and walk wonderful on the leash. I should go to a home with a 6 foot high fenced in yard. I am a bigger boy who likes to roam and explore. So if you are experienced with a dog like me and can work on more training with me then I would LOVE to meet you! Love always, Max. (a foster home would be considered!!)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Bay City German Shepherd Dog/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Husky for sale in Bay City, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Husky dog from a breeder in Bay City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bay City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bay City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Husky breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bay City paves the way for another one to be saved.
