People are always asking how we come up with names for all our kitties. Most of the time they come already named, but when they don't it can be a challenge to think of something original.
Since this friendly little girl was dumped at Winn-Dixie, I thought I'd let the Island residents help name her. The vet estimates her as a young cat around 1-2 years of age. She is a little spooked by all the other cats at the shelter, but I think it's because there are so many and no place to hide from them. She loves attention and would be perfect for someone who is looking for a lap cat. If you would like to meet her call Helping Paws Animal Sanctuary at 239-283-9100. Otherwise email me your name suggestions and I will announce the winner next week!

About Helping Paws Animal Sanctuary

About Our Shelter...

Adopting the unadoptable.
Providing abandoned and unwanted pets a second chance.

Helping Paws Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no kill shelter, housing almost 200 healthy cats and kittens, as well as special needs, FIV and FELV cats. They are housed in rooms not cages; waited on by loving volunteers, have toys, TV’s with cat videos and water fountains.

The goal of the shelter is to not only find them homes, but to provide a wonderful home for the cats while they are in our care.

We hope to someday provide an equally loving environment for dogs and other animals when we have a larger facility.
