PHOENIX (who is about 2 1/2 years old) is on three medications to control seizures. He is basically housebroken and good in a crate. He still has back leg weakness on one side. He loves to run although he does need to lie down and rest periodically. He is good with other dogs and wants very badly to bond with a special person or two. He is smart (he is a shepherd after all!) and knows some basic commands (he could learn more!!). He can be "mouthy" when wanting attention so he should not be in a home with small children. He absolutely loves going for car rides and to new places!
Our dream home for Phoenix would be with a retired couple or a single person who is not gone for long hours. He needs a fenced in yard where the property is fairly flat. He can climb stairs but would do best where the family lives basically on one level since he loves to hang out with them! He enjoys and learns from other dogs and would probably do best with medium to larger breed females or easy-going males. He is fine with cats.
PHOENIX is a hero who needs a hero (or two!!!).
