Kylie's Story...
My name is Kacie, and I am looking for home in ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI!

I am a beautiful, sweet cat, but I am scared still. I want nothing more than to be your adored pet. I just need you to love me and be patient with me.

I used to live with a human who had around 30 cats. One day the house caught fire and the cats who survived went to animal control. We were all so scared! We had never gotten much attention since there were so many of us. The animal control people feared they would have to kill us to make space, so they reached out to rescues.

Now I am safe! I am learning to trust. I need a quiet home with humans who will love me for who I am, a shy but loving kitty.

To get an idea how far I have come, compare the 1st picture with the second. The first was taken the day I came to rescue. The second is later. And with you, I can become even more confident! Won't you reach out to me?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kylie, a St. Louis Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
