Briar's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Briar's Story...
Briar was surrendered to a shelter because it was said that he climbed a fence and bothered the neighbors chickens. Well, since Briar only has three legs, he must be a very talented dog! He is heartworm negative and already neutered and microchipped but was at immediate risk of being put down due to overcrowding. Briar is doing great in his foster home. He is housetrained and gets along well with other dogs. At only 40 pounds, he is a great size for almost any home. Contact us if you would like to meet Briar.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Briar, a Summerville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Summerville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Summerville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Summerville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Summerville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Summerville paves the way for another one to be saved.
